Mariah Carey engagement ring: $2.5 Million
There have been many popular singers through the years but Mariah Carey is perhaps the most popular female singer of all time. During the course of her career, she has been known to break many records for record sales worldwide. She also managed to catch the eye of Nick Cannon, a man who starred in both television and at the movies and who is the current host of America’s Got Talent. They were both divorced when they met and things got serious quickly.
They were together on top of an apartment complex in New York City when Cannon popped the question to Carey. Interestingly, she felt as if the proposal wasn’t good enough so it wasn’t long before he had her kidnapped via helicopter and he proposed to her again. She said yes. Oh yeah, he also presented her with a 17-carat pink diamond ring with 58 smaller diamonds worth $2.5 million.
