Jacqueline Kennedy engagement ring: $2.6 Million
As you have seen, there have been many stunning and quite expensive diamond rings. Up until this point, they have primarily been given by individuals who were Hollywood stars or perhaps sports heroes. They are not the only individuals to be presented with such a ring, and that is what you will see with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Not only is she famous for being the first lady when she was married to John F. Kennedy, she is also known for her ring, that she received from her second husband, Aristotle Onassis.
The Harry Winston diamond ring was presented to Onassis while they were visiting Greece. It was more than 40 carats, which would be quite heavy on the finger. They were married in 1968 but in 1975, Onassis passed away and then Kennedy passed away in 1994, when she was 64 years old. The ring sold at a public auction during the estate sale and fetched $2.6 million.
