When it comes to flashy celebrity engagement rings, bigger is not always better. At least that is feelings of Amal, who is married to George Clooney. When they got engaged, he didn’t hold anything back and presented her with a 7-carat emerald cut diamond that is estimated to be worth more than $550,000. It certainly is one of the best engagement rings in Hollywood, but it is also one that may draw some undue attention.
George Clooney’s wife is a lawyer who travels around the world for high profile cases. Those cases are typically for human rights, and she felt as if the ring was not appropriate for her to be wearing while she was taking on that type of work. Although she has worn the ring since the two of them got engaged, she is actually considering downsizing to a simple platinum band. I guess you can’t please everyone!
